Pakistani Latte / Indian Cappuccino
A South Asian style of whipped coffee served over warm milk and water.

- 1 1/2 tsp sugar or according to taste
- 1 1/4 tsp instant coffee
- 1 tbsp hot water

- 1/2 cup instant coffee
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup hot boiling water
Single Serving
Add coffee, sugar and hot water in a mug. Whip it with a milk frother, hand beater or manually with a spoon. Beat it for about 3 to 4 mins. The coffee will become light and air and create soft peaks.
Warm some water and milk.
Pour the water plus milk over the whipped coffee. Stir to mix coffee with liquid.
Crush some instant coffee on top and serve immediately.
Bulk preparations
Add coffee, sugar and water in a large bowl and use an electric mixer or a stand mix to beat the coffee. Beat the coffee for 5 to 7 mins or until you get soft peaks of coffee mix.
Drop 2 tablespoons of the whipped coffee into each mug.
Pour hot water and milk mix over the whipped coffee. Stit with a spoon. Add more whipped coffee or sugar if needed.
Crush some instant coffee on top and serve.
You can also serve whipped coffee, milk, sugar and water separately to allow your guests to create their own lattes.
- You can use full milk instead of milk plus water.
- You can add more sugar according to taste
- The bulk whipped coffee can last in the fridge for upto 5 to 6 days.
