Hey Jim, so yes, you can toggle the bar on the recipe card and simply make the recipe exactly as is three times the quantities. However, you can reduce the number of tomatoes and use 1:1 ratio for chicken and tomatoes. So for e.g 1.5 kg chicken would be 1.5 kg tomatoes. This is only a recommendation incase you dont want to use a lot of tomatoes for larger batches.

Yes you can make the recipe for beef, lamb or goat. I’d suggest to tenderize the meat with salt, water and garlic ginger paste, until almost fully cooked and finish cooking with the steps given in the recipe.

Thank you. I have two follow-up questions. First question is about scaling the recipe for other quantities of chicken. For example, for about 1.5 kg of chicken, would you agree that I would just use three times the quantity of each ingredient as listed on the recipe card? Or there are some other considerations? And the second question is about substitution of type of meat. Does this recipe card still works if I use lamb or goat instead of chicken? Thank you.

Hey Jim, so the recipe is for 500 gm of chicken. All the ingredients mentioned are accordingly. The 2 lb chicken is to give you an estimate of the size of a bone in chicken piece for this recipe. So a 2 lb chicken should give you around 16 to 18 pieces. For the recipe card, you will need roughly about half of those pieces. But you are right, I should’ve been clearer. let me fix that.

In the beginning of this page, you mentioned, “You should get about 16 to 18 pieces of a normal 2 lb chicken.”, which implies to me that this recipe is for 2 pounds of chicken. But the recipe card says, “500 gm bone in chicken cut into small pieces”. The question is, are the rest of the ingredients for 2 pounds of chicken or 500 grams of chicken? Thanks.
