Hey Kerry. Ok so Yeah if you are looking at aloo keema recipe that has whole spices, than you are definitely on the right track because the authentic original recipe calls for it. I guess for us a culture we just know to move it to the side while eating it with chapati. But if it bothers you, you can use a cheese cloth bag or metal tea strainer to add the whole spices in it and leave it in the keema. It’ll infuse the flavors and you can remove the whole bag/strainer at the end.
